His Pirate Seductress by Tamara Hughes

His Pirate Seductress by Tamara Hughes

This is book 3 in the Love on the High Seas series.

Trying to save the life of her son and mother, Catherine Fry has captained her late husband's ship and gone after the owner of the Ruby Cross. She and her band of pirates soon capture Thomas Glanville's ship, but he is not telling her where the cross is.

Thomas can't believe that he allowed himself to be captured. He is not about to let the Ruby Cross out of his hands, not when it is his means to purchase his own ship. But being held captive by an alluring woman has Thomas thinking of intriguing ways to gain his freedom and they soon give into their mutual attraction.

Can Catherine and Thomas find a way to use the Ruby Cross to get what both of them need?

I really liked that the pirate is this story was the female lead. It definitely put a different twist on the story.

Catherine wanted to use force to get Thomas to give her the cross, but when it came down to it she couldn't.

But she did have power over him in another way and she definitely used it to the best of her ability. Of course, then the tables were turned on her!! The chemistry between these two was red hot!!

I can't wait to see what Hughes come up with next!

Beauty's Curse by Tamara Hughes

Beauty's Curse by Tamara Hughes

This is book 2 in the Love on the High Seas series.

Followed by bad luck her entire life, Amelia Archer has decided to leave her family and travel to America to live with her aunt. Unfortunately, her luck didn't change. The ship she was on wrecked and they were rescued by pirates. Sailors don't like having women aboard their ships to begin with, but when other unlucky things start happening they decided to set her adrift to survive on her own.

Having stuck up for Amelia when she first boarded the pirate ship, David Lamont does it again when they insist on getting her off the ship. He won't let her go alone.
Can they survive in the middle of the ocean with very little supplies or will Amelia's bad luck follow them to the bottom of the ocean?

I always enjoy a good pirate story and this one was no exception. Hughes had the added twist of making them survive on their own. They were in the middle of the ocean with very few provisions and only had a tiny boat for protection. On board a ship, the H/H are thrown together often because there is just not much space to get their distance from one another. By placing the H/H in a tiny boat and making them count on one another to their very survival, Hughes takes her story to another level.

This was a great read and I can't wait to see what Hughes has in store for us next!

Tempting the Pirate by Tamara Hughes

Tempting the Pirate by Tamara Hughes

Charity Goswick is on the run from her uncle and an unwanted marriage.  Hope to escape he boards a ship to hide, not knowing that it was a pirate ship.

James Lamont is on the pirate ship to locate his missing brother. When he finds Charity, he does his best to hide her from the others on board.

Having been warned by her governess of the evil of men, Charity to leary of staying in James' cabin but she doesn't have any other options. As the two spend time together, their mutual attraction grows.  Can they get to safely before they are found out?

This is my first book by Tamara Hughes and I did enjoy it.  I always love a good pirate story and this one was pretty good.

I will say that I felt like almost everything James said to Charity for the first half of the book alluded to sex. I thought that was a little strange. He knew she was scared and apprehensive about being in a room with him, why did he need to go on and on about it...

Having said that I still look forward to the next book which will be about James' missing brother.
