This is book 4 in the Secret's & Seduction series.
Sebastian Addison, the Earl of Claybrook, has spent months trying to forget the woman that he spent three passion filled day and nights with knowing that they can never have more. But suddenly she is back in his life and Sebastian wants nothing to do with her. How can he find the traitor, when all he can think of is his partner?
Gabrielle has never forgotten the time spent with Sebastian, but unlike him she wants to finish the task given to them. She knows that together they can do a better job than working alone. But their biggest challenge might not be the enemy they are after, but the feelings they have for each other.
I was so happy that Cullen continued with her Secrets and Seduction series as it is one of my all time favorites! There is nothing better than a dashing hero and an unconventional heroine with some bad guys thrown in. The perfect combination!
It's not often that you get to read a story in which both the H/H are spies. Normally it's just the hero and the heroine at some point needs to be saved. I loved that Cullen put a very strong woman into this story, one that could take care of herself in any situation. As much as Sebastian wanted to take care of Gabrielle, she wanted to prove that she could handle herself and any situation that she was put into.
My fingers are crossed that Cullen continues with this series as I'd hate for it to end!!
After the recent death of her brother, Miss Leonora Craven is determined to find out the truth about how he died. The only way she knows how to get information is to get help from Lord Frederick Lisle, one of her brother's closest friends. He also happens to be her ex-fiance.
Frederick, Freddy, and his friends are determined to find out how Jonathan Craven died. When Leonora comes to him for help, he proposes that they have a sham engagement as a way to get into the infamous Lords of Anarchy club which they believe had a hand in Jonathan's death.
But what happens when Freddy wants to make their engagement real? Can Leonora let her heart win over what she thought was the right decision years ago?
I really enjoyed this story. I loved that Leonora didn't feel right about her brother's death and wanted to find out what really happened. She wasn't going to sit back and let life go on when she knew something wasn't right.
I think I fell in love with Freddy during this story! I loved that even though he was hurt by Leonora breaking off their engagement, he loved her enough to try again...swoon!
I think this is going to be one of my favorite series by Collins. Next up is Good Earls Gone Bad which tells the story of the Earl of Manwaring and Lady Hermoine Upperton whom we met in this story. October seems like such a long time away...
Lady Olivia Sheridan has loved Lord Damien for most of her life. On the eve of their wedding, Damien is accused of fathering another woman's baby and forced to fight a duel. Injured in the duel, Damien is brought back to the house to recover. But Olivia learns that he has a price on his head and unless she protects him, he will have survived the duel only to be murdered later. Knowing that the only way to save him is to get him away from the country, she puts him on one of her father's ships.
Four years have passed and Olivia is now running her father's shipping business as well as Damien's holdings because she can't bring herself to tell his family of his death. She soon learns that Damien is not dead and is determined to make her pay for putting him on that ship.
Can Olivia make Damien see that what she did was for his protection or will he have his revenge?
I really liked this story. It was different from the stories that I normally read and was a nice change of pace. This was a couple that had already found love and then were torn apart. He blames her for being sent away, while she feels it was the only thing she could do at the time to save his life. Most of the story was showing them finding their way back to each other and learning to trust again.
This was my first by the author and I will definitely be looking for more of her work.

Having been in love with Grayson Devlin since she was sixteen, Lady Portia Flagstaff rushed to meet him when his note arrives. Little did she know that it was a ruse to kidnap her.
Having sworn to protect Portia after her brother passes away, Grayson quickly takes off to rescue her. Finding her and bring her back to England ends up not being the hard part of the trip. After losing everyone that he was ever close to, Grayson has decided not to let anyone into his heart. But when honor dictates that he marry Portia, he soon realizes that he might be the one to change his mind.
The Disgraced Lords is one of my favorite series to date and I eagerly await each new book. Evans did not disappoint. As with the other books in the series, we have the mystery of who is targeting the group and how they try to take down each member and ultimately fail.
I loved Portia. She was a strong willed woman and even when Grayson is giving her what she wants (marriage), she holds out for his love. I also loved watching Grayson open up his heart to find love again.
I can't wait for the next book in the series, A Whisper of Desire, which comes out in December.

Trulie Sinclair knows that she is not of the current time period. Her grandmother brought her and her sister to the future so that they could get the medical attention they needed to survive. Convinced that it is Trulie's time to go back home, her grandmother talks her into accompanying her back in time. Trulie didn't count on meeting a rugged highlander that took her breath away.
Gray MacKenna, never imagined that he would see a beautiful woman appear right in front of him. As attracted to her as he is, Gray just doesn't know what to think of Trulie. She is so different from the women of his clan. When Trulie helps him to find a murderer amongst his people, he can't help but wonder if he has found his one true love.
This is my first book by Greyson and I will definitely be back. I love a good Highlander story and if it involves time travel, all that much better!
I always love to see how a modern day man/woman will react to things they encounter in the past. Do they say things they shouldn't, talk about things that have yet to happen and other "out of time" things.
MHL also included the solving of a crime, which added interest to the story. I really enjoyed this story and can't wait for the next book in the series.
Miss Adelaide Stockton has to act the prim and proper miss in public to try and make society forget the scandal of her parent's marriage. She didn't count on the one person to see through her persona being a scoundrel. Try as she might, she just can't stop thinking about him.
James Vickers is trying to bring down his father. The key to that just might be with Adelaide's aunt. As he tries to find answers, he finds himself getting closer and closer with Adelaide who happens to be the wrong type of person to fit in with his plans.
Can James get revenge on his father and find the love of his life?
This was a great quick read. Marlowe has a way of quickly drawing you into her stories and giving you the satisfaction of a full novel with her novellas. I loved seeing Hestia again!!
I can't wait for more Half Moon stories!!

This is book 3 in the Scandalous House of Calydon series.
Lucan Wynwood, the Duke of Mondvale, is out for revenge. He is going after his sister's lover and is going to make him feel the same pain he did when he lost his sister. When he finds out that the woman he is so attracted to at the ball is his quarry, so much the better.
Having just found out that she is a bastard, Lady Constance Thornton is ruined in the eyes of society. With an already tarnished reputation, why not do something scandalous like dance with the scandalous "Lord of Sin'? She soon finds herself falling for Lucan. What will she do when she finds out the reason he has been courting her?
LOVED this story!! The emotional rollercoaster that Reid took me on, kept me riveted until the very end! So much so, that I read it in one evening.
You end up having a love/hate relationship with Lucan. You can understand why he is doing what he is doing to Constance, but because I loved her so much, I hated him for doing it... I was alternating between loving him and hating him the entire story, but in the end he redeemed himself.
I can't wait to see what Reid has in store for us next!
Annabelle Flynn is sister to two of London's biggest libertines, while she has gone in the opposite direction and tried to be the picture of purity. When her eldest brother inherits a dukedom, she thinks she can finally make her debut and find a proper spouse. But her priorities take a turn when her other brother starts spiraling toward destruction and she makes her way to the notorious Donville Masquerade where she meets the owner Marcus Rivers.
Marcus has been attracted to Annabelle since they were introduced even going so far as to drive by her mother's home just hoping to get a glimpse of her. Knowing that their stations are too far apart now that her brother is a Duke, Marcus has tried to squash his feelings for her. But that is hard to do when the woman of his dreams invades his club every night in hopes of helping her brother.
Can Marcus keep his desires in check when Annabelle makes her nightly visits or will it prove to be too much temptation?
I fell in love with Annabelle in The Other Duke, and Michaels did not disappoint with the telling of her story. Annabelle wanted so much to be the proper young lady of the ton, but her passionate nature kept coming to the surface. She knew that going to the Donville Masquerade could land her in hot water, but her love for her brother (and her growing attraction to Marcus) kept her going back.
Marcus tried so hard to fight his feelings for Annabelle because he thought he wasn't good enough for her, but in the end true love trumps all!!
I loved this story and I can't wait to read Crispin's story next!!
Lady Lavinia Vaile is in the middle of one of her private gambling parties when her former beau informs her that her husband has been shot dead. Living estranged from her husband and having once threatened to kill him in the manner that he was killed, she soon becomes a suspect.
Maximilian Harrison will do anything he can for Lavinia because of the love they once shared. Risking his reputation to protect her, he sets out to clear her name. Being a former judge in India's high court, Max's word carries a lot of weight with the local authorities, but when someone is out to bring Lavinia down that might not be enough.
This appears to be LaCapra's first book and what a way to come flying out the door!! If this book is any indication of what is to come from this writer, she will be on my must buy list!
I loved Max!! He was do dedicated to Lavinia even though she had broken his heart. Having taken care of her family without her knowledge and he didn't want her to know. He just wanted them to be taken care of.
Lavinia had been hurt in her marriage and didn't want to get hurt again. As much as she stilled loved Max, she was afraid of what giving in to him would mean. I liked watching her learn to trust again and with such a great guy!
I also fell in love with the other Furies and can't wait to read their stories!!

This is book 3 in the Scandalous Highlanders series.
Rowena MacLawry has been in love with Lachlan MacTier since she was a child. But after three months in London and a lifetime of rejection from the man, she has finally made the decision to give up her dream of marrying him. She is moving on with her life and hopes to make a decision on a husband during her brother's wedding celebration.
Lachlan has always thought of Rowena as his best friend's little sister. Having been a part of the MacLawry family for so many years and not wanting to jeopardizing that, he always downplays Rowena's romantic gestures toward him. But when she comes back from London, Lachlan can no longer deny the woman she has become.
Just when Lachlan realizes he feels more than friendship for Rowena she finally makes her break from him. When the hunted becomes the hunter, anything can happen!
I've been waiting for this pairing since the series first started and Enoch did not disappoint! I loved that Enoch had Lachlan end up chasing after Romena when she had been the pursuer for so many years. That was a nice twist on the loved since childhood theme.
Having grown up with someone, it is hard to see them differently than the way you always have. Lachlan has know Rowena since she was a little girl and he really couldn't see her any other way. That is until he sees her mingling with all her London beaus. It was like he was splashed with a bucket of cold water and could finally see what was in front of him.
I LOVED this story so much that I read it in one sitting!! I can't wait for the next book in the series!

Having been wed just a short time before going on a two-year diplomatic mission, John Bexley is prepared to come home to the biddable, soft-spoken wife he left behind. What he comes home to is nothing that he has imagined.
In the two years that her husband has been gone, Mary Fleming has had to make a life for herself without him. This includes becoming the "master" of the house. Without her husband around, Mary has taken charge of her life and is no longer the woman that John married.
Can these two strangers reconcile what the other has become and make their marriage work?
It's nice to read a story about a married couple once in a while for a change of pace. Since the two were not married long before their separation and hardly knew each other before that, we are still able to see how their love grew as they get to know each other again.
I love that Mary has taken charge of her life and is not under the thumb of her parents as she was when she married John. She decided to make the marriage what she wanted it to be, instead of what society deemed as a good marriage. John did the same for himself. He was always the butt of jokes within his family and he wanted to prove that he was more than that.
Overall a very enjoyable read. I'll definitely be picking up more books by Ashford.
This is book 2 in the Wicked Little Secrets series.
Isabella St. Vincent can't believe that her business partner might have purchased fake stock with the money from their bank. With no one else to turn to, she must go to the third partner Lord Randall. Isabella grew up with Randall and they have never gotten along, but since this problem is also his, they must put their differences aside to solve it.
Having known Isabella for years, Randall is shocked that he suddenly can't stop thinking about her. This is the woman who he has bickered with his whole life, how can he be attracted to her? Spending more and more time together, he learns that the attraction is mutual.
Can these two stop bickering long enough to solve their financial problems and fall in love?
Even though this is book 2 in the series, you won't have any trouble following this one if you haven't read the first. I don't remember any overlapping characters (although I might have missed them...).
One of my favorite things in a book is witty banter between the main characters and this story is full of it. I was laughing out loud at all the crazy things that Isabella and Randall said to each other. Adding the mystery of the fake stock to the story, just took it up a notch.
I loved that Isabella and Randall had known each other for years, but didn't really "know" each other. They have the familiarity that comes with it, but we were still able to see the growth between them as they became lovers.
This was a great story by Ives and I can't wait to see what she comes up with next!

As attracted to Jane as he is, she doesn't know all the terrible things he has done. He doesn't feel like he deserves to be the one to take Jane's special gift.
Can Jane talk Xavier into one night of passion?
Loved this story! Ever since Xavier spoke up in The Earl's Defiant Wallflower, I thought he had a wicked sense of humor (what a time to finally speak!!). As with the other books in the series, Ridley has me laughing out loud and so engrossed in the story that I couldn't put it down until it was finished. This series is definitely in the top 5 of my all time favorite reads!
I can't wait to see what Ridley has in store for us when the next book in the series, The Major's Faux Fiancee, comes out in June!
