Selina is just trying to provide her sister with a Season in London. To do so, she is working a Madame Sybila, a fortune teller. The money gained from this position pays for the life they need to launch her. Everything is going smoothly until an investigator starts snooping around.
Harry is looking into the fortune teller at the request of his father. He thinks that the woman is swindling his wife and wants his son to prove it. After meeting Lady Gresham, Selina, he asks for her help in the investigation. What he doesn't know is that Selina is also the woman he is trying to bring down.
The two get closer during the investigation. What will happen when Harry learns the truth about Selina?
I loved Selina and Harry's story! I loved watching Selina live the double life and try to keep Harry from learning that the woman he was investigating was actually her. All the things that she did to hide her identity sure kept glued to the pages of the book! This was a great start to a new series and I can't wait to see what Burke has in store for us in the next one!
