Some Like It Plaid by Angela Quarles

Connall's tribe is left with few marriageable women after a raid, so his Druid priest decides to send him to another land and time to bring a wife back. He ends up in present day America. He makes friends with a homeless man that helps direct him to finding that needed wife. He places an ad on Craigslist and has a whole slew of women show up. But when he mets Ashley, he knows she is the one.

Ashley is busy working multiple jobs trying to pay off the debt her lousy ex-husband left her with. When she sees the ad on Craig's List for a job in Scotland, she jumps on it as she is ready for a change. What she doesn't realize is that what she thinks is a job, is really a marriage...which she learns upon her arrival to ancient Scotland. She didn't sign on for this and wants to go back home. But she learns form the Druid priest that she must wait almost a month and a half before they can even attempt to send her home.

Connall wants Ashley as his wife. Can he convince her to stay before she makes her way back home?

Must Love Chainmail by Angela Quarles

Must Love Chainmail by Angela Quarles

This is book 2 in the Must Love Time Travel series.

On a trip to Wales with her bridesmaids, Katy Tolson is suddenly whisked back in time to medieval Wales. For someone that is attached to her phone like Katy is, this is a rude awakening for her. She quickly figures out what is was that transported her back in time, but when a handsome knight rescues her from an upcoming battle her opportunity to retrieve it is lost.

Sir Robert Beucol, a half-Norman and half-Welsh knight, is trying to get the attention of the King so he can get his lands back. By fighting the Welsh, he is showing his loyalty to the crown. He hasn't the time to be distracted by the comely woman he rescued, but he can't seem to stay away from her.

Will Katy find her way home or will her attraction to the handsome knight make her forget her quest?

I always love a good time travel and this was no exception. This is my second book by Quarles and I enjoyed it as much as the first.

I really liked Robert. He was the type of man that I would consider to be a "Knight in Shining Armor". He rescued Katy a few times and was always the perfect gentleman.

Overall, an enjoyable read!

Must Love Breeches by Angela Quarles

Must Love Breeches by Angela Quarles.

This is book 1 in the Must Love series.

In the middle of a Victorian themed ball put on by her work, Isabelle Rochon finds herself wishing that she was at a real Victorian era ball. The next thing she knows, she is feeling dizzy and can't find a single one of her co-workers.  She soon realizes that she has some how been transported back in time where she meets Lady Ada Byron and Lord Phineas Montagu.

Isabelle soon figures out that the card case she was holding is what transported her back in time. Unfortunately, someone stole it as she left the ball. Having no where to go, Ada takes her back to the place she is staying. Isabelle talks Phineas into helping her find the missing card case and she agrees to be his fake fiance for a project he is working on.

As Isabelle and Phineas spend more time with each other, their attraction toward each other gets stronger.  Isabelle must make a decision, if she finds a way back to the future will she choose to stay in the past for a love of a lifetime.

I am a huge fan of time travel stories.  I just love to see how the modern person will act without all their modern conveniences.  I'm a little torn on how to rate this book as I loved the storyline and the chemistry between the H/H was red hot, but there were times that the writing was just awful. I felt like I was reading the script of some awful B movie. I did get better toward the end of the novel, but there were moments at the beginning that I was just cringing.

If you can get past the first part of the book, it was really an enjoyable read.  The next book in the series is about Isabelle's friend that goes back in time to Scotland.  I will probably pick it up just because I like this type of story and hope that the writing has gotten better...

Storyline:  5 stars,  Writing:  3 stars.....4 star book
