Xavier Vistoire has been held captive for two years for reasons unknown to him. When he is given a chance at his freedom for retrieving a map from the Wedmore home, he jumps at the chance. When Xavier gets caught breaking into the home, he plays it off like as a drunken escapade. Unfortunately he doesn't get off that easily as a pesky dog gets in his way and he takes a tumble down the stairs. Required to stay in the home until he recovers, he spends quite a bit of time with the eldest sister of the home.
Regina Darlington can't belief that she caught someone breaking into their home, but what is even more unbelievable is that she is attracted to the handsome stranger.  
What will happen when Regina finds out the real reason that Xavier is in her home?
This was a great story! It appears to be loosely tied to Grace's Beau Monde series. 
I really liked Regina and Xavier. Regina was different from most of the members of the ton and wasn't afraid to be herself while Xavier was swoon worthy!
I can't wait to read the next book in the series!
