The Notorious Lady Anne by Sharon Cullen

Nicholas Addison has just recovered from a very debilitating injury and is about to embark on a mission for discover who keeps attacking the Blackwell Shipping Fleet. He is told that he has a passenger on his voyage, which he does not appreciate one bit. The passenger turns out to be Mrs. Emmaline Sutherland, whom Addison had met earlier at a ball in London. Emmaline  had intrigued Addison as soon as they met, but he tried to suppress those feelings as Mrs. Sutherland was a married woman.

Part way through the journey, their ship is attacked by pirates and Addison soon learns that Mrs. Emmaline Sutherland is really the feared pirate Lady Anne and the person responsible for all the attacks on the Blackwell Shipping Fleet.

As their feelings for each other grow, they must each make decisions on how to proceed.  Will Emmaline continue her quest for revenge or will she give it up for love? Addison must decide if love is more important than finishing his mission.

I LOVED this book and can't wait for the next in the series!
