The Highlander's Christmas Countess by Anna Campbell

Kit has been working in Glen Lyon's stables for months now. But what few people know is that she is really Christobel Urquhart, Countess of Appin. Her stepbrother is determined to marry her off so that he can get half of her fortune. Hiding out allows her to reach an age where she can claim her inheritance without being married.

Quentin is certain there is something going on with the new stable boy and his suspicions are confirmed when he is trapped in a snow storm with Kit. To save her reputation, they are forced to wed. Can this forced marriage end happily ever after?

I really enjoyed Kit and Quentin's story! I loved that Kit was willing to do anything to save herself, including posing as a boy. It shows how strong of a person she was. I also liked that Quentin was able to discern that Kit was a woman almost from the start, we didn't have to go through all of this, "why am I attracted to someone of the same sex, when I never have been before stuff"... If you are looking for a quick, enjoyable holiday read, then I would definitely pick this one up!
