The Blond Devil of the Sea by Celeste Barclay

Caragh is the head of the smuggling ring that helps to take care of the residents of her village on the coast. When she spots a shop and knows that they are not expecting a delivery, she know what there will be trouble. But what she doesn't expect is to be taken captive by the pirate captain. The captain soon learns that she is a female and not the young man he originally thought. She feels an attraction for her capture and knowing what would soon be expected of her, she makes the choice to give herself up to him. She goes to his bed willing and finds so much more than bed partner.

Rowan is surprised to find the boy he thought would become his cabin boy is really a young woman. He is instantly attracted to her and that changes his plans for her. As their relationship progresses, he opens up to her like he hasn't to anyone else. But there are people and events that will try to sabotage this relationship. Can they get passed it all and get their HEA?

I really enjoyed Caragh and Rowan's story. Who doesn't love a good pirate tale? One reason that I like stories that take place on a ship is that the main characters are always in close quarters. This usually creates a different type of dynamic than if they were falling in love on land, which is always a nice change of pace.

Even though I really enjoyed this story, it had a little too much BDSM in it for me. I just ended up skimming over those parts. I don't mind a little spanking, but when he got a belt out and used it on her, that was too much for me. So be forewarned if it is not your thing...
