A Duke is Never Enough by Darcy Burke

Phoebe started the Spitfire Society after she left her fiancé at the alter. She is living her life on her own terms and feels no shame in it, even with her parents disliking her new lifestyle. She meets Marcus just after he has an altercation with his cousin. While he flirts, Phoebe blows him off as he reminds her too much of her former fiancé. Shrugging off her slight attraction for the man, she knows she'll never see him again...that is until he shows up at her doorstep that evening.

Marcus's cousin has scammed a least two families, so when he finally tracks him down, they have more than words. He is surprised at the woman who comes to his side and tends his wounds. She won't tell him her name, but he soon learns who she is. He wastes no time in running her down in her own home.

They start an unlikely friendship, that turns to more as they spend time together. Neither has plans to get married, but what if this affair could be so much more?

I absolutely adored Marcus and Phoebe's story! I loved both of them in the previous story and I'm glad that Burke paired them together. I loved watching this friendship blossom into love. The bantering between these two had me laughing out loud!

I can't wait to read the next book in the series which pairs Jane and Anthony whom appear prominently in this story!!
