When Maria is stolen from her home and taken hostage, her brother has no where else to turn to but the family's biggest enemy. So when she is rescued, Maria doesn't know whether she can trust her rescuer or not. But she needs to get back home and her relying on her enemy is the way that can happen.
Having been intrigued with Maria before he learned who she was, Lisandro can't turn down the request to rescue her. But with their families having been enemies for years, it takes some convincing to get Maria to realize that he means no harm to her.
As the two make their way back to Spain, they grow closer. Can these two, who have grown up being told to hate one another, find their HEA together?
I really enjoyed Maria and Lisandro's story. It was fun watching them navigate what they thought they knew about the other and what reality really was. Lisandro also had some fun friends that helped to rescue Maria and they added much merriment to the story (yes, Cottman told me they are getting their own stories, YEAH!!). While this is part of a series (London Lords), it is definitely a stand alone read. Go pick it up now!!
