Pru wanted one night of desire before she dutifully gets married. She has been told there is a place where women can pay for their pleasure and sneaks out of the house one night. As nervous as she is, she finds someone who she is instantly attracted to.

OMG!! I loved Pru and Carlton's story!! I've been waiting for Carlton's story since Byrne started the Victorian Rebels series!! I loved these two together and didn't want to but the book down! I loved how they met and then watching them solve the murder of Pru's fiancé. I didn't want this story to end!!
While you can read this book as a standalone, I would definitely read the whole series to get the whole picture of Carlton. Plus the series is a fantastic read you don't want to miss!!
