How to Love a Duke in Ten Days by Kerrigan Byrne

Alexandra is being blackmailed for something she did years ago. When she learns that there is no more money to give, she knows that she must come up with a plan because the secret she is hiding involves others. When she meets Piers, she believes that he might be the solution that she needs. The only problem is that her best friend is supposed to be marrying him.

Piers is getting married so that he can make sure that his cousin doesn't inherit the dukedom. His cousin stole his fiancee and he is not about to let him get anything else. He really doesn't care who he marries, so when Alexandra proposes that she be the one to marry him instead of her best friend, he needs to reconsider his decision. He has no real attraction with his current betrothed, and can't seem to get Alex out of his head, so why not.

Alexandra and Piers end up getting married, but with both of their pasts trying to catch up with them,  danger seems to find them around every corner. Will they survive long enough to see if they can get their HEA?

I really love Alexandra and Piers story. They married for reasons of their own, but grew to love the other as time went on. I loved their interactions with one another and how kind Piers was to Alexandra after what she had gone through. I can't wait to read what I assume with be the other two books in the series about Alexandra's friends from school.
