From France, with Love by Tamara Gill
Ava inherits the family estate when her father passes away. With the estate, comes the racing horses that she adores. She is ready to start her breeding program when she learns that the stallion she was going to be used has been sold off. As much as she wants the horse, it was sold to the man that broke her heart.
Tate has never gotten over Ava and has plans never to see her again. But when she comes to his aid during a fire, he has no choice. When she offers her barns to house his horse, he takes her up on the offer.
Spending time together, brings up old memories. What happens when they learn that what they thought happened in the past, was not what it seemed. Can they get the HEA that they wanted all those years ago?
I really enjoyed Ava and Tate's story. It was a reunion story and those are always one of my favorites. Most of the story took place away from the glittering ballrooms of the ton and that is always a nice change of pace. Gill also didn't make us wait until almost the end of the story to find out what really happened, which is what happens in most books that are set up like this. I like that. Too often that misunderstanding just keeps compounding with other things and seems to be never ending. This was a refreshing change. This is a great start to what I am sure will be a great series!
