This is book 2 in the Guardian of Scotland series.
William Wallace is made Guardian of Scotland and has a lot more responsibilities on his plate. He soon finds his love, Eva MacKay, taken from him and back to the 21st century where she desperately tries to get back to him.
Will these two lovers find their way back to each other?
I didn't want to go into too many details of the plot line because it would give away too much of the story. You definitely need to read the first book in the series before reading this one as it is basically part 2 of the story.
As I mentioned in my review of Rise of a Legend, this is more of a historical fiction novel with a little bit of romance thrown in and NOT a historical romance story like most of the books I review. After reading the first book, I was wondering how Jarecki would end the book to my satisfaction given what I knew about Wallace's life. I will say that I was satisfied with how she ended the story and wrapped up the love affair between Wallace and Eva.
Jarecki has a new Highlander series coming out. The first book, The Fearless Highlander, comes out this month!!
