Taming his Rebel Lady by Jane Godman

On his way to claim his prize for his loyalty to the English crown, Sir Edwin Roxburgh is attacked by a lone bandit. He soon learns that his attacker is none other than the widow of the former owner of his new home. With her rebellious nature, they soon find themselves married to save both of their necks from the chopping block.

Lady Iona Cameron will not lose her home to an English soldier without a fight. When she finds herself attracted to her new husband, she tries her best to ignore the pull she feels for him. But as they spend more tome together, she finds that she doesn't want to ignore her feelings any longer.

Can this unlikely duo find an everlasting love with everything working against them.

I LOVED THIS STORY!! I truly didn't want it to end. Iona was a spirited heroine that was not going to let some Englishman come in and take over her home without putting up the fight of her life. She was covertly fighting for her fellow Scotsman and she wasn't going to let an interloper get in her way. Of course, she didn't count on her attraction to Edwin. Of course, you can't blame the girl as Edwin is a man that any woman could fall for.

Edwin...sigh. Can I bring him home with me? Definitely on the top of my list of book boyfriends. He had that right combination of rugged masculinity and sensitivity that would make any red-blooded woman swoon!!

I read book 1 in the series, A Kiss for a Highlander, right before this one and it was just as good as this one. I could not find anywhere that the series was continuing, but the book ended in a way that made me believe that it would. I'm hoping for at least two more stories from characters that were introduced in books 1 and 2 of the series.

If you have not read this series, go get it now!!!
