Enchantment of a Highlander by Madeline Martin

After leaving home at an early age to get away from his father, Alec MacLean has finally returned only to find his home in ruins and bandits running rampant on his lands. He is not there long when he finds those bandits attacking a your woman. He defeats them, but is injured. He is soon patched up by the local healer. Not only does he leave with his wounds patched up but with a strong attraction for the woman he just left.

Celia, the healer, has come to enjoy her life. Healing the local people and no laird to dictate to her. When she learns that the man she patched up is none other than the returning laird, she doesn't know how her life will change. She does know that she must fight the attraction she feels for the man, as nothing good can come from it.

When Alec calls Celia to the castle to help heal is foster son, they end up spending a lot more time together. Can this unlikely duo go against the odds and make a life together?

I really enjoyed the conclusion of this trilogy! Celia had been through so much in her young life and come out a survivor. Just the type of woman that a returning laird would need to establish himself back into his community.

To Alec it didn't matter of what class Celia came from, he knew what he felt and he went for it. Of course there were many things that they had to go through to get that HEA, but it was all worth it in the end.

I can't wait to see what Martin has in store for us next!
