Callum is determined to bring peace between the Mackinnons and the Drummonds. Thinking that a marriage between himself and the Drummond's daughter would settle things, he offered for her. When he is turned down, he takes matters into his own hands and kidnaps his would be bride. Thinking he was taking timid meek woman, he soon learns that he will have his hands full.
Mhairi can't believe the the Mackinnon has kidnapped her. Considering all that she has heard of the clan while growing up, she does everything she can to get away from him before they reach his lands. Unfortunately, she doesn't have any luck. She soon learns that Callum wants to marry her to end the long feud, but she will never consent to the marriage and tries to convince Callum to let her go home and talk her father into a truce.
While Callum and Mhairi continue their disagreement about how to bring peace to the two clans, they do start to know one another. Will Callum be able to get her to change her ind about marriage?
I loved the latest addition to Campbell's The Lairds Most Likely series. I loved reading the interaction between Callum and Mhairi, most of which had me laughing out loud. I have absolutely adored this series and hope that Campbell will be writing more. Regardless, I'm excited to see what she come up with next!
