Earl of Tempest by Annabelle Anders

Lydia thought that Jeremy would soon be offering for her, but when he leaves the meeting with her brothers and doesn't stop to talk to her, she knows that the offer is not coming. Months later, they run into each other again. Lydia sees the haunted look in his eyes and all she wants to do is to help him.

During the meeting in which Jeremy was going to offer for Lydia, her brothers accuse his brother of unforgivable acts. Knowing that he can never forgive them for this, he leaves without offering for Lydia. Now he spends most of his time trying to prove the brothers wrong. But Lydia is back in his life and he realizes that his feelings for her haven't changed.

Can Lydia and Jeremy find their way back to each other?

I really enjoyed Lydia and Jeremy's story. I loved that Lydia didn't give up on Jeremy. She saw that he was hurting and did everything in her power to help him. I just loved these two together!

If you've not read Ruined, also by Anders, I would read it before this one as it will give you more insight into the story as they are closely tied together.
