Miranda is shocked to learn that her brother has lost her in a gambling debt. She is supposed to marry a man that she has just met. Unfortunately for her, nothing about the man appeals to her. In her desperation to get out of the marriage, she enlists the help of Aden who is a known gambler. Who better to beat a gambler than one of his own kind. Miranda has long made it known that she despises gambling, so why does she find the man that is helping her so appealing?
Aden is shocked that Miranda has come to him for help as she made her feeling for him very clear the first time they meet. But after spending time with her, he soon realizes that she is the one for him. Can he convince her to take a chance on him?
I absolutely adored Miranda and Aden's story!! Enoch is masterful with her dialogue and all the bantering between these two had me laughing out loud! So often it is the female that falls for the male first and I loved the role reversal in this one. It didn't take long for Aden to know that Miranda was the woman for him!! I'm excited for the next book in the series, which I assume will be Coll's story.
