Her Wicked Proposal by Lauren Smith

Anne Chessley is tired of all the fortune hunters coming to court her after her father's death. There is only one man who she thinks can help her, Cedric, Viscount Sheridan, who was once her suitor. She proposes a plan for them to marry freeing Anne from her unwanted suiters. But Cedric has a condition to his agreeing...

Having once thought to seduce Anne, but getting the cold treatment from her, Cedric is surprised at her offer. Ever since going blind, he has struggled with what he is going to do with his life. Not being able to do the previous things he enjoyed, Anne's offer opens the doors to some possibilities. His one condition is that when they are in bed, she has to drop her ice maiden persona and respond to him.

Can this marriage of convenience turn into one of love?

LOVED this story!! I've thought from the beginning of this series that it would probably end up being in the top 5 of my all time favorite ones and this story just solidifies that feeling.

I loved Cedric. He thought his rakish days were over when he became blind, but he ended up just using his wiles on his wife instead. You know what they always say about a reformed rake...

Anne had been hurt in the past and because of this she put up a shield around her heart and became the "ice maiden" that the ton gossiped about. It didn't take long for Cedric to melt that ice and wedge himself into Anne's heart.

If you've read the other books in the series, the Rogues had to deal with their enemy again in this one. One of these days, he'll be taken care of. But until that point, he will be making trouble for the group.

Smith gave many leads as to who might be the hero of the next story, but I can't find anything online to indicate who it might be. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Whoever it is, I'll be just as excited to read it as I was the other books in the series!
