Captain William (Will) Endicott has been ordered by his father, the Duke of York, to uncover an assassination plot. This is nothing out of the ordinary except that one of the suspects is Will's former sweetheart Evie Whitney. Will can't imagine that Evie has anything to do with the plot, but he has to investigate her regardless.
Evie can't believe that Will has come back into her life after all this time. Even with her impending engagement, Evie can't seen to fight her attraction to Will. He broke her heart all those years ago, but her heart doesn't seem to care.
What will Evie do when she finds out that the only reason Will came back into her life was to investigate her?
I've LOVED this series from the start and Will and Evie's story is no different. Kelly sucks you into the world of the characters and you don't want to leave!
We visit a few of the characters from the previous books, but this story mainly focuses on William, his cousin Alec, Evie and her twin sister Eden. I know that the next book in the series will feature Alec and I'm hoping that Kelly pairs him with Eden. They were so much fun to read about.
I loved reading the scenes between Will and Evie. The chemistry between the two of them practically leapt off the page. As with other Kelly stories, the banter between the characters had me laughing out loud throughout the story.
I can't believe that I have to wait until July to read Alec's story. I'll be waiting on pins and needles!
